About Ohio Splash
Ohio Splash is a US Masters Swimming (USMS) team open to all and committed to fostering national and international competition for amateur athletes. Since 1997, the team has grown from 6 swimmers to a roster of over 100!
Ohio Splash is a proud member of International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics (IGLA). IGLA hosts an international swim meet every year.
Ohio Splash swims at our home pool at the Columbus Aquatics Center on Hunter Avenue (aka Hunter) during Autumn, Winter, and Spring seasons. For the Summer Season, we are swimming at Tuttle Park; just north of OSU off Lane Ave.

Competition / Swim Meets
Swimmers who are interested in competition are welcome to attend USMS meets with the team. Meets are sanctioned by US Masters Swimming and happen frequently. With at least 4 participants, Ohio Splash tries to field relays teams as well. USMS meets are usually run as Mixed Mens/Womens events, with places awarded by 5-year age blocks.
Meets are completely optional. However, meets are a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon with your teammates.
Social
Ohio Splash is more than just a way to improve your stroke technique; we are teammates and have formed incredible friendships. We socialize together both formally and informally; after practice and around town. We believe in bringing friends and teammates together through a mutual love of the sport of swimming.
