Ohio Splashers return to defend our State Championship title in the 2016 US Masters Swimming Ohio Short Course Yards (SCY) State Championship meet on April 2, 2016 at Ohio State University.  We encourage all Splashers to sign up for what will be a great time.  Come be a part of Splash history!!!  If you’ve ever considered swimming in a meet, this is definitely one to do! This meet is in our backyard at Ohio State University. The pool at McCorkle is beautiful and known for fast swims.

Psych Sheets have been posted and are available for review.

WHEN:

Warm-Ups begin at 10:30am.  Competition is set to begin around 11:30.  Online registration has closed.  Deck entry is available until 10:30am on Saturday 4/2; the registration fee is $70.

RELAYS:

Relay teams have been formed.  We are VERY excited to field 10 relays in the following events:  400 Free Relay (following the 100 fly), 200 Free Relay (following the 50 fly), and 200 Medley Relay (following the 200 Free).  Thank you to all who attended practice on 3/30:  your relay exchanges looked better than EVER!

TEAM SUITS:

If you have a Splash suit, please be sure to wear it to the meet. If you don’t have one yet, don’t stress over trying to acquire one before the meet (rush fees will be more than the suit will cost you, likely).

COUNTERS:

Several of us will be swimming the 500, so shout out if you are but don’t have a counter lined up.

TEAM SWAG:

We have swim caps available for all Splashers who do not have one.  Please see Andrew on-deck the day of the meet, or at Wednesday practice.
Team decals / temporary tattoos are available for all Splashers & Splash Cheering Section who want to show off team spirit from the water or stands.

CHEERING SECTION:

We’ll post heat sheets once they’re available. Let’s be sure we let everyone in that Natatorium know Splash is in the house! Support your teammates & cheer them on to new personal best times.  From years past, this is a rough idea of what to expect at the pool (subject to change):

SOCIAL:

The team gets together afterward to celebrate at the after-meet social. The invitation is warmly extended to all Splashers and our Splash Cheering Section!  Note that the venue has changed to The Chop Shop at 2159 N High St (about a 5 minute drive from the pool). Free parking is available at ‘The Little Bar’ a few doors to the north.
